A global leader in innovative fastening solutions is hiring a Screw Machine Operator/Machinist in Winston-Salem, NC! This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-standing manufacturing team serving major industries including automotive, electronics, consumer electronics, and datacom, with strong internal growth opportunities, development plans, and a reputation for solving complex fastening challenges. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Screw Machine Operator/Machinist position include: 5+ years of experience with screw machines, preferably Davenport or ACME machines. Experience with Swiss machines may be considered, but this is not a CNC operator role. Set up and operate multi-spindle automatic screw machines for turning, facing, boring, drilling, reaming, tapping, threading, and forming operations. Read and interpret blueprints, machine parts drawings, manuals, specifications, tool charts, and instructions. Use micrometers and gauges to inspect parts and make machine adjustments to maintain quality specifications. Perform basic troubleshooting, sharpen and reset tools, and adjust feeds and speeds as needed. Maintain bar stock, install cams, gears, drills, and tooling according to setup layouts. Stand for 8-12 hour shifts, lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Salary :

$25 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
