CNC Machinist

Job Description:

CNC Job Shop actively seeking a detailed, mature responsible, patient person with good manual dexterity and able to work full time as a CNC Machinist. Needed to set up and operate a variety of Computer Numerical Controlled Machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This is NOT production machining, exciting opportunities to work on new projects weekly. Small family owned business with relaxed work environment. 7:30 - 4:00 M- F Major holidays paid, 401k, Short/Term Disability, Paid Time Off, Tool Purchase Assistance. Associates degree in Machine Tool Technology, or equivalent experience. Starting pay BOE. Primary Duties include, but are not limited to the following :

• Set up and operate turning and/or machining centers. May include machines with live tooling and/or multi-axis. Select proper feeds, speeds and tooling.
• Programming CNC machining centers
• Be able to manufacture parts to tolerance less then +/- 0.001
• Must possess excellent blueprint reading, mechanical & math abilities.
• Extensive experience with CNC controlled Lathe and Milling Machines.
• Able to competently use micrometer, bore gage, vernier calipers, or other precision measuring equipment used by machinists.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and with use of mechanical aids manipulate parts exceeding 200 pounds.
• Must perform at a highly proficient manner and independently with occasional assistance.
• Shop Maintenance All applicants are subject to a machinist test.
