Insight Global is currently hiring CNC Machinists who have experience specifically with optical product manufacturing. Our client is a leading manufacturer of high-precision optical components, supporting industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, and semiconductor. We are seeking an experienced Optical CNC Machinist to support production of precision optical components. This role involves programming, setup, machining, and quality inspection using advanced diamond turning equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and program CNC diamond turning machines (Precitech, Nanotech/Moore)
  • Set up machines and ensure optimal operating conditions
  • Perform precision measurements using optical metrology tools
  • Inspect parts to ensure quality standards
  • Handle and clean delicate optical components
  • Maintain SPC data and documentation
  • Support 5S and maintain a clean work environment This is a direct hire position with an hourly pay of $43.20

  • 2+ years of optical CNC machining experience
  • Experience with diamond turning machines and programming
  • Strong metrology/measurement experience
  • Ability to work with high-precision components
  • HS diploma or equivalent required Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Optics manufacturing education or certification
