Position Summary The Machinist I is responsible for assembling, repairing, and fabricating metal components by operating a variety of machining equipment and tools. This role supports production operations by building parts into subassemblies or complete units while ensuring all products meet established quality and dimensional specifications. The Machinist I utilizes blueprints, drawings, and design sketches to verify measurements, tolerances, and finished product requirements. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-driven environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate machining equipment to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts and components. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Measure materials accurately and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments. Select appropriate machines, tools, and processes for production requirements. Assemble parts into subassemblies or completed units according to specifications. Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards and tolerances are met. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing processes. Support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior machining, manufacturing, or production experience preferred. Basic understanding of machining equipment, tools, and measurement techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
