  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Conventional Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
In this role, you will operate and set up traditional machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision metal and plastic components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict specifications and quality standards, contributing to the overall success of our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, mechanical precision, and manufacturing excellence. Duties Produce and create tools for machinery Analyze a variety of specs and set ups to ensure all tools are created to company standards Setup and operate machine tools Adjust controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances Verify all alignments on machines Operate a variety of different devices in a safe and organized manner Measure materials for the manufacturing tooling. Continuously verifying that tooling meets specs. Produce gauges and measuring devices when necessary Communicate with all team members and shifts Clean and maintain a safe work area Experience Proven experience as a Conventional Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with a strong understanding of machining principles. Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and mechanical measurement techniques. Familiarity with CNC programming concepts such as G-code is a plus but not mandatory; experience with CNC lathe or milling machines like Fanuc controls is advantageous. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAM programming, SolidWorks, CAD software, and plastics injection molding processes is preferred. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, welding equipment, and basic math skills for precise measurements. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction in production workflows.
