Job Description

CNC Machinist Bohemia, NY If you're ready to take your machining career to the next level, we have an exciting opportunity for an organized, motivated, experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic, multi-divisional team! With three thriving divisions, Engineering & Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems-DTB offers a diverse, engaging, and challenging environment where your skills can make a real impact. As a CNC Machinist, you'll play a vital role in driving productivity by operating a variety of CNC machines and producing high-quality precision components. Working under moderate supervision, you'll apply your expertise in CNC machining, machining methods, tooling concepts, and manufacturing processes to support critical projects across the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Utilize personal knowledge of tooling to properly and efficiently machine company product. Ability to visualize setups and transfer that knowledge onto paper as instructions for the operators to set-up the machine accurately. Operate machinery Optimize tooling packages and tool selection Work on cycle time reduction/set up time reduction Ad-Hoc Problem Solving Tooling, fixture, machine ad-hoc problem solving Set up machine Read and edit G and M code as needed The ideal candidate will require: Min high school diploma or equivalent Certificate Program with a minimum of 6 years' CNC Programming experience Ability to read and edit machine programming language Ability to read and interpret blueprints Strong understanding of GD&T Able to set up and run a machine Problem solving skills Sigma/Lean a plus Experience with HAAS Machines Ability to operate manual machinery (Bridgeport, Lathe) Ability to implement manufacturing processes Ability to perform in process quality inspection on parts US Citizenship required In addition to competitive salary and comprehensive benefits featuring: Competitive salaries Tuition Reimbursement at up to 100% Medical/Dental/Vision/FSA 401k match with company Match!
