Job Description

CNC Machinist Akron, OH Rogers Industrial Inc. is currently seeking full-time CNC Machinist to join their team in Akron, Ohio. At Rogers Industrial Products Inc., we have been at the forefront of the tire curing industry since 1951. Rogers is not a typical machine\\job shop. We are an OEM manufacturer that has a few machines and only manufacture our own parts. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter and cannot only run the machines but take ownership of the process from beginning to end. What we can offer

Monday to Friday 8 hour shift Full-time 8 AM-4:30 PM The right candidate will have: Have at least a minimum of 5 years' experience in a CNC role High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to write the programs for the Haas Mills and Milltronics Lathe Machining certificate preferred Ability to lift 5 to 35 pounds is required on a regular basis Ability to read a blueprint or schematic Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, depth gauge, etc. Must have your own tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) Our CNC Machinist will: Setup and produce parts and tooling from metals including stainless steel and other materials Program the machines to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they are defect-free and ready for the next step in production Maintain a clean work area and machine Perform side operations as required (e.g., deburring) while CNC is running Does this sound like the position for you?
