Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and be proficient in operating various CNC machines. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications and tolerances. The CNC Machinist will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and adherence to safety standards. Duties Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to fabricate precision parts. Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy. Utilize coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and bore gauges to inspect finished products for quality assurance. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols. Fabricate parts using various tools and techniques. Read, acknowledge, and adhere to the policies, practices, and regulations of the company manual. Completion of work assignments as directed by the lead operators. Skills Reading and writing skills at a level of competency equivalent to that necessary for a high school diploma or better. Comprehensive skills necessary to understand and learn new skills and concepts taught in the workplace. Math skills equivalent to that required for a high school diploma with an emphasis on decimals, fractions, and basic math functions. Experience Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in programming CNC machines is preferred; experience with Fanuc systems is preferred. Familiarity with machining tools such as calipers, bore gauges, and other measuring instruments. Strong understanding of machining principles, including electrical discharge machining (EDM). Ability to read technical documents and blueprints accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required for this position.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description, the employee must also be able to perform the following essential job functions: Must have the mental capacity to understand, learn, and apply new concepts including the set up and operation of production equipment. Must be able to read, understand, and carry out written instructions to the satisfaction of the Director of Manufacturing. Must be able to use basic measurement instruments including tape measure/ruler and dial caliper. Must be able to perform math functions at the high school graduate level. Must have the physical capacity to: A. Lift up to 50 lbs. B. Learn and drive a tow motor if necessary.
