- (Part-time and Full-time Positions Available)
Summary:
Close tolerance machining of reciprocating aircraft engine-specific components in accordance with original equipment manufacturer instructions and limitations.MANUAL MACHINING ONLY
- NO CNC operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in either automotive or piston aircraft engine machining and rebuilding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however other duties may be assigned.
- Identification, execution, and documentation of all processes approved to perform
- Read and correctly interpret component references and dimensional blueprints
- Fluent in accurately reading micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring devices
- Set up, use, and maintain shop equipment as necessary
- Keep safety equipment up to standards
- Maintain building/workspace cleanliness At a minimum, experience in the proper operation of the following piston engine rebuilding equipment is required:
- Sunnen honing equipment (or equivalent)
- Valve seat and guide machining equipment
- Boring and surfacing equipment
- Manual turret mill (ex. Bridgeport knee mill)
- Solvent / Dry media cleaning cabinets Include in your resume a list of automotive or aircraft engine models that you have specific experience with.
