Budde Precision Machining is a growing precision machine shop serving aerospace, defense, and other demanding industries. We're looking for an Associate CNC Machinist with basic machining experience who wants to continue developing their skills in a high-quality, technical manufacturing environment. This is a great fit for someone who understands the fundamentals of machining and CNC equipment but is still developing their setup, programming, and troubleshooting skills. You'll work alongside experienced machinists and engineers while gradually taking on more complex work and greater responsibility. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills with guidance as needed Read and understand basic blueprints, dimensions, tolerances, and work instructions Make basic machine and tooling adjustments to maintain part quality Use standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges Inspect your own work and ensure parts meet drawing and quality requirements Load, run, and monitor established CNC programs Develop the ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues Assist with setups, prove-outs, and process improvements Learn basic G/M code and CNC program editing Work closely with experienced machinists, Engineering, and Quality Maintain an organized work area and properly care for machines, tooling, and inspection equipment Operate other shop equipment as needed CNC lathe experience is a plus Additional duties as required What We're Looking For Some previous CNC machining, machine shop, technical school, or similar hands-on manufacturing experience Basic ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints Familiarity with common measuring and inspection tools Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work Willingness to ask questions, learn, and take on increasingly difficult work Dependable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team You don't need to be an expert coming in. We're looking for someone with a solid foundation and the right attitude to grow.
Work Environment:
In-person work at our state-of-the-art facility 10-hour and 8-hour shifts available Day shift, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekends as needed At Budde Precision, we value dedication, skill, and a passion for producing high-quality work.
