This job will consist of setting up and running various CNC machine center jobs throughout the machining department. Essential qualifications for this position include: Must understand and be able to read and utilize machined part prints. Must have a working mechanical aptitude. Must be able to use hand tools and grinders.

Must have basic math skills:

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and conversion between decimals & fractions. All CNC Machine Level C essential qualifications met and 2-3 years or demonstration. Must be able to perform all mill setups with minimal help. Must be able to train others in department on all mills. Must be able to pass Level B Mill test (Written and demonstration). Must be able to read and understand programs. Must be able to use all measurement equipment in department. Must be able to perform tool touch off and offset adjustments on all mills. Must be able to make judgement of tool life and application. Must know what to do when machine stops unexpectedly. Must be able to make judgement of undesirable machined surface finish and what to do to correct. Understands need to adjust speeds & feeds. Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting. Must be able to set up and run parts with minimal scrap.
