1st Shift, Full-time, temp-to-hire Job Brief Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a CNC Machinist for our client. This job is responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements; setting up CNC machines by selecting and installing tools, fixtures, offsets, and work holding; operating CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment to produce parts within required tolerances; modifying or editing CNC programs to optimize machining performance; verifying part accuracy using precision measuring tools What's a Typical Day Like Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to determine machining operations and setup parameters. Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.), including selecting and installing tools, setting tool offsets, zero points, fixtures, and work holding. Operate CNC machinery to perform machining operations (milling, turning, drilling, etc.), ensuring parts produced meet required tolerances & surface finish. Modify or develop CNC programs; edit G-Code and M-Code where necessary to optimize machining processes, cycle times, and material usage. Ensure first-run parts meet specifications; use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.) to verify dimensional accuracy. Perform Periodic and preventive maintenance on machines; identify issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments. Maintain tooling; monitor tool wear; replace or recondition tooling as required. Work closely with quality control to resolve any nonconformances; document findings and implement corrective actions. Keep work area, machines, and tools clean, organized, and in safe condition. Adhere to safety procedures and PPE requirements. Participate in continuous improvement efforts (lean, efficiency, cost reduction, etc.). What Are the Requirements of the Job High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent). Proven experience as a CNC Machinist / CNC Operator; experience setting up, operating CNC mills/lathes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, geometric dimensions & tolerances (GD&T). Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.). Strong mechanical aptitude; good numerical/ mathematical skills (speeds, feeds, tool geometry, etc.). Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meet production targets, and manage multiple jobs / priorities. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs. Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel. Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination. Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time Communication skills.
