Elyria, OH Job Description:

Operate conventional and CNC machines for semi-complex machining tasks Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions Set up machines, install tools, and perform adjustments for optimal performance Perform machining operations: cutting, shaping, drilling, reaming, deburring Align and secure workpieces using standard fixtures and methods Monitor feeds, speeds, and cutting parameters to ensure part quality Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators) Conduct visual and precision inspections, including use of magnification equipment Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure accuracy and reliability Apply SPC (Statistical Process Control) for quality monitoring Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment 3+ years machining experience with strong setup and blueprint reading skills Knowledge of shop math (including trigonometry) and machining processes Ability to work independently and collaboratively with effective communication skills
