Entry Level CNC Machinist

Job Description This role is for a CNC Machinist or a Machine Operator looking to move into a Machinist role working primarily on 1st shift in a modern parts manufacturing division. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools, interpret blueprints, and ensure high-quality production of precision components. Responsibilities Calculate dimensions and tolerances using strong shop math skills to ensure precise machining of parts. Design and execute machine set-ups based on blueprint and specification requirements. Operate and work with CNC Turning Centers and other machine tools to produce high-quality components. Use in-house work tracking software to accurately record labor hours on specific jobs. Maintain assigned machine tools and related equipment according to the daily maintenance schedule. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with shop standards. Read and interpret blueprints and use related quality control tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges to verify part quality. Perform troubleshooting and changeovers on CNC and manual machine tools to support efficient production. Assist with or perform basic CNC programming as required for production jobs. Apply knowledge of metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds. Communicate clearly and concisely with team members and supervisors to achieve production and quality objectives. Work overtime and off-shift hours during busy periods when requested to meet customer and production demands. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a 25,000 sq. ft. modern manufacturing facility equipped with multimillion-dollar, high-tech manufacturing equipment. The standard 1st shift schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with up to 10 hours of overtime available on Fridays as requested, and no weekend work required. You will work in a structured production environment that emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficient workflow, using advanced CNC and manual machine tools and shop-floor tracking systems to support precision machining operations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Marion, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41600.00
