Job Title:

Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up and operate CNC machinery including Horizontal Mills, CNC Mill-Turn Lathes, CNC, and manual Vertical Lathes. This role involves performing setups, editing programs, tool setting, and initiating jobs in our machine shop. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and proper operation of machinery and conducting quality checks on machined materials. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Mill, CNC Mill-Turn Lathe, CNC, and manual Vertical Lathe. Perform machine setup, edit programming, and tool setting to start jobs. Ensure the safety and proper operation of all machinery. Conduct quality checks on machined materials using OD/ID Micrometers, Duel Indicators, and other tools. Essential Skills Experience with VTL and CNC equipment. Familiarity with Fanuc control systems. Proficient in reading blueprints and setting up lathes and mills. Knowledge of GD&T and machining processes. Proficient with micrometers and other measuring tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Journeyperson machinist or at least 4 years of experience with CNC setup and operation. Knowledge of inspection and gauging techniques. Understanding of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for HSS and carbide tooling. Familiarity with crane and jib hoist operations and rigging. Proficiency in shop math including trigonometry and metric conversions. Ability to evaluate CNC code and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerances. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a clean, well-lit facility equipped with very large CNC machines and overhead cranes. Although the environment is not temperature-controlled, it remains comfortable throughout the year. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medina, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
