CNC Machinist#26-01352

Raymond, OH

Onsite Job Description Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.

Set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes.

Program CNC machines, including tool offsets, work coordinates, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.

Perform machining operations such as: Milling, Turning, Drilling, Boring, Grooving, Threading, Facing, Knurling

Design and build machining fixtures and work holding setups.

Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment.

Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize programs and processes.

Maintain machine tools and perform preventive maintenance.

Use CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA, to create and modify machining programs.

Create setup sheets and supporting documentation for machine operators.

Select tooling and cutting strategies for various materials.

Machine parts to print specifications and special customer requirements.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience.
  • Experience with both CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (CATIA preferred; Mastercam or Gibbs CAM acceptable).
  • Ability to program and optimize 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers.
  • Experience calculating speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Vericut experience is a plus.
