Full-Time, 1st Shift, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Job Summary This role is ideal for a skilled CNC Machinist who is experienced with machining precision components, operating Okuma Bridge Mills, and working to tight tolerances. The machinist will analyze specifications, set up and operate machine tools, and fit/assemble components used in dies, fixtures, gauges, and cutting tools. Candidates who thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy contributing to a high-performing team will excel in this position. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
  • Experience operating CNC machines, especially Okuma Bridge Mills and Okuma controls
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
  • Ability to machine to tight tolerances: +/-0.1, +/-0.01
  • Strong working knowledge of tooling setup, feeds, speeds, and G-code programming
  • Skilled in trigonometry and basic algebra for machining calculations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime as needed (including weekends/holidays)
  • Ability to operate an overhead crane and forklift Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience writing small programs and performing can-cycle programming
  • Basic fabrication skills: welding, torch use, plasma cutting, shear operation
  • Ability to handwork and fit parts using grinders and related tools
  • Ability to solve problems, determine root cause, and create countermeasures
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with die makers
  • Organizational and shop maintenance experience Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Set up tooling, holders, and materials (including squaring up blocks & 3D setups)
  • Operate CNC machines, including Okuma Bridge Mills, to produce precision parts
  • Drill, tap, counterbore, ream, deburr, polish, file, and inspect finished components
  • Write basic G-code programs and verify machining accuracy
  • Maintain machine schedules, track machining time, and communicate project status
  • Perform shop maintenance tasks, including cleaning, tooling upkeep, and coolant/oil checks
  • Follow company safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times Physical and Environment Requirements Physical expectations and working conditions associated with the job may include: standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs; climbing, kneeling, and crouching; working near moving mechanical parts; exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, or airborne particles; and operation within a manufacturing environment that may include crane sling loads and close proximity to other team members.
