CNC Lathe Machinist

Summary/Objective We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC lathes, reading technical drawings, and producing high-quality machined components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes to machine metal parts. Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Maintain tight tolerances and ensure part quality throughout production runs. Troubleshoot machine issues and collaborate with maintenance when needed. Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance. Document production data and maintain accurate records. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC lathes (Haas and Mazak.). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints Strong understanding of machining processes, speeds/feeds, and tooling. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments. Basic knowledge of G-code editing preferred. High school diploma or equivalent and technical training Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
