Full Job Description Description:
Ascentec Engineering is hiring a New Product Introduction (NPI) Machinist. The selected candidate will develop the machining processes for low to mid-volume production parts. This role is on site (not remote/not hybrid) at our Dallas, Oregon location and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

Work with NC programming and planning department to develop a repeatable production process including development of setup instructions and in-process inspection requirements. CNC machine prove out and sustaining of complex, diverse parts on a range of equipment. Overall machining process analysis and troubleshooting of issues. Continually audit CNC process for quality and efficiency Assistance with the development of machining, inspection and programming standards, including fixture design standard, process improvement and program template input. Machine centerline calibration and trouble shooting. Communicate and coordinate with floor leads and process owners regarding capacity constraints in production Assistance with the development of standardized programming and work holding methods
Job Qualifications/Technical Skills/Experience:
Must have at least seven years' experience in precision horizontal and 5-axis CNC machining Expert in reading and editing G&M codes Excellent comprehension of GD&T and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficient with multiple metrology tools for checking parts. CMM experience a plus. Experience with Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma, and Siemens 840D controllers Ability to characterize material machinability, tool holding, tool cutter presentation and select appropriate coolants for CNC manufacturing Other, non-technical skills such as team-building, problem-solving and written and oral communication skills MasterCAM, Siemens NX, or Esprit experience is a plus

Working Conditions:
Works in an office and machine shop environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and/or lift up to 50 lbs. Day shift position but must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job, absent undue hardship. Compensation/Benefits:
