Rears Manufacturing Company is a manufacturer of agricultural equipment with national distribution through dealerships and direct customer sales. Job listing details follow- for more information about Rears Mfg, please see the end of this listing. This is a 40 hour/week position: on-site day shift, Monday - Friday. Rears industrial campus is conveniently located for communities in the Eugene-Springfield area.
Employment opportunities are available immediately:
CNC machine tool operators are needed. Manual Lathe & Mill experience is beneficial. A successful candidate will have experience with the Job Duties listed below and fulfill the list of Qualifications required for employment consideration.
JOB DUTIES
Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine job requirements. Job set-up experience is desirable. Load programs from network fileshare and select tooling for machine set-up. Maintain production tolerances during machining process: make adjustments as needed to compensate for material and tooling variance. Operate CNC and manual machining tools: lathe and milling experience beneficial. Communicate with department lead regarding program changes and process updates. Operate material handling devices such as overhead lift assist to position material. Load material stock into machine jaws, lift/reach up to 40lb. Palletize processed parts for next operation. Document WIP totals for job schedule. Maintain a clean, safe and productive workspace. Attention to detail and safety for every job: set-up, execution, and quality control.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience. CNC machine tool experience required. Skill with manual machine tools is beneficial.
  • A desirable candidate has at least 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience programming semi-automated or automated tools and machines desirable.
  • Must be able to read production prints.
  • Good math skills with analytical abilities.
  • Proficient with measuring tools and able to maintain tolerances.
  • Knowledge of the properties of metals and other material.
  • Knowledge of routine tool maintenance and care is required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have the dexterity to manipulate and produce precision parts.
Must be physically able to lift/carry/manipulate heavy items. Demonstrate an organized approach to job completion, maintain a clean work area and ensure that every job is neatly prepared for the next operation.
Work Schedule and Compensation Schedule:
8 hour shifts, M-F. Shift start time 6AM or 8AM. Shift assignment is most often employee choice. Overtime is often needed during the months of February - May.
