You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of essential infrastructure by producing high-tolerance components through expert CNC and manual machining techniques. Responsibilities Execute complex machining operations including turning, milling, boring, and grinding to meet rigorous industrial specifications. Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical mills and lathes to achieve optimal production efficiency. Interpret advanced blueprints and GD&T requirements to ensure every part meets exact dimensional standards. Perform precise quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and profilometers to verify component accuracy. Manage the safe movement of large-scale workpieces using overhead cranes and proper rigging techniques. Troubleshoot operational challenges and perform machine adjustments to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. Maintain shop tooling inventory and document inspection results to uphold our commitment to quality. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in both manual and CNC machining environments. Advanced proficiency in reading blueprints, interpreting GD&T, and utilizing precision metrology tools. Proven expertise in rigging and the safe operation of overhead crane systems. Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols and a proactive approach to shop efficiency. Preferred Skills Experience with large-scale repair work for mining or energy sector infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex, custom fabrication projects. Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on continuous process improvement.
