Full Job Description SUMMARY:
The CNC Machine Operator helps with set-ups and operates all shop equipment to produce a wide variety of standard and special component parts, based on work orders, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions. As well as maintaining, adhering to quality and safety standards
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Produce CNC machined components using CNC and conventional Mills and Lathes on a regular basis to meet production scheduling requirements. Load tools as directed from Set up sheets/work instructions, and set tool offsets and adjust accordingly to produce parts within specification. Upload and proof CNC machining programs based on work Instructions. Install and indicate various types of tooling and fixtures in the work centers. Operate multiple machines, and simultaneously ensuring quality standards by use of precision measuring instruments: Calipers, Micrometers, etc. Replace cutting tools and set tool offsets as necessary. Deburr own parts. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Document actions by completing production and quality logs. Maintain all safety requirements for daily operations and OSHA standards Keep work area and surrounding areas clean daily.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Minimum of 1 years' operating CNC Machines, or technical schooling equivalent. Milling, Turning and Deburring experience: 1 year. Proficient in the use of shop tools, cutting tools and measuring instruments. Read and understand blueprint drawings. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations. Must be able to read, write and speak English based on position requirements. Safety PPE required, must be able to wear earplugs. No ear buds allowed
DESIRED QUALICATIONS AND SKILLS
The ability to work independently with minimal direction. Team player and contributor. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask to meet requirements. Practices good judgement, and safety conscientious. Knowledge of Okuma controls, a Plus!

$28.01 - $33.73 per hour
