Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will operate and set up various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and manual machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies and contribute to complex manufacturing projects. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders using Fanuc or similar controls to produce high-precision parts Read and interpret job specifications, routers, drawings and tolerance requirements. Select and install appropriate tooling, workholding and machine settings for assigned jobs. Make tool and offset adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and part quality. Inspect completed work using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision measuring devices. Observe machine operation to identify part defects, tooling issues or machine malfunctions. Troubleshoot routine machining problems and make practical decisions to keep work moving. Remove burrs and sharp edges from finished parts according to instructions Perform routine machine care, including cleaning, lubrication and removal of chips and debris. Qualifications Prior CNC machining experience, including the ability to set up a CNC mill, CNC lathe or both. Experience setting up both machines is preferred but not required. Experience with Hurco controls and Fanuc controls is preferred. Ability to work independently, think on your feet and solve routine machining problems with limited supervision. Working knowledge of machining practices, quality inspection methods and shop safety standards. Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges and other precision measuring devices.
