Job Title:
CNC Machinist Pay:
$40/hour
Shift:
3:30pm to 2:00am Monday through Thursday Job Description This role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes and mills to produce precision parts that meet strict dimensional and quality specifications. You will work with both G&M code and conversational controllers, apply shop mathematics, and use mechanical measurement tools to ensure parts conform to required tolerances in a clean manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Determine required dimensions and tolerances for each job and interpret specifications accurately. Measure machined parts using appropriate tools to detect defects and verify conformance to specifications. Fully program CNC lathes and mills using both G&M code and conversational controllers. Set up and operate CNC machine tools, applying shop mathematics and machining procedures to produce precision parts. Adjust equipment settings to achieve required outputs and maintain part quality throughout production runs. Monitor tool wear during machine operation and replace tools as necessary to maintain performance and accuracy. Essential Skills Minimum 5 years of experience programming CNC lathes or mills. Minimum 5 years of experience programming with G&M code. Minimum 5 years of experience programming conversational controllers. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Secondary training through a technical school preferred. Experience working in a clean manufacturing or machine shop environment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise parts. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clinton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
