Job Title:
Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team, specializing in setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills. Experience with Mazak machines is beneficial, as is familiarity with Mazatrol programming. The role involves completing jobs from start to finish, working with larger materials and tolerances, and producing smaller quantities. Experience with Solidworks is advantageous but not required. The ability to read blueprints, interpret tolerances, and evaluate breakdown jobs is essential. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills. Program using Mazatrol controller. Complete jobs from start to finish at the machine. Work with various materials, including some plastics. Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances. Evaluate breakdown jobs and understand repair tolerances. Operate micrometers, gauges, and precision measuring instruments. Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience or completion of two years of vocational or technical school. High proficiency with CNC machining equipment. Ability to multi-task on machines and different projects. Capability to produce quality products within budget. High attention to detail and precision. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Mazak machines preferred. Some CNC programming experience needed. Solidworks experience is a plus. Work Environment Work on the first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 7 am to 12 pm, totaling around 45 hours a week. The current facility can be warm in the summer and cold in the winter, with plans to build a new shop that includes air conditioning. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fleetwood, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
