Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a skilled General Machinist with strong manual and/or CNC lathe experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of producing high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. If you take pride in craftsmanship, maintaining tight tolerances, and delivering quality work, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathes Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders Machine parts to precise tolerances and specifications Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds Perform routine machine maintenance and adjustments Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments Maintain a clean and safe work environment Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production deadlines Required Qualifications 3+ years of machinist experience (lathe experience required) Strong understanding of machining principles and metal properties Ability to read and interpret blueprints Experience holding tight tolerances (±.001" or better preferred) Proficiency with precision measuring tools Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience with CNC programming (G-code knowledge a plus) Experience with mills and other shop equipment Knowledge of GD&T Trade school certification or apprenticeship completion Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs Perform repetitive tasks and manual adjustments
