About us Linear Machining Technology is a customer focused manufacturer of high precision machined component parts and is looking to hire a CNC Lathe Machinist for 2nd shift at our Irwin, Pa location. We are a family orientated machine shop that supplies machined component parts primarily across the scientific, robotic, and nuclear service industries. Currently, we are a busy growing company and are looking for self-starting individuals to become vital members of our production team who will ensure their work conforms to our customers' standards. •Pay Negotiable Depending on Experience•15% Shift differential•
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts Set-up, operate, edit and program Mazak Lathes Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments ,and accessories Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors Enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
Minimum Qualifications:
One-year certificate from college or technical school OR Apprenticeship program in Machine Shop technology; OR Three or more years related experience and/or training; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with Mazak, DNM, Haas machines preferred Able to use micrometers, electronic gauges, calipers and similar tools/equipment Knowledge of metric conversion; able to work in Metric and English units Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Able to stand for prolonged periods of time Night Shift - 4 x 10hr shifts
