3rd shift - 10pm - 6:30am (If OT is needed it will be worked before the start of the regular shift)
SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on manually operated machines, such as drills, punch presses, saws, and sheers. They will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Able to do basic CNC programing, to adjust pre-sets of jobs according to the gauge needed for the job. Work the parts in multiple materials by doing the corresponding adjustments in the machine settings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set-up and manage the manual machines to perform different jobs.
  • Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
  • Ensure the machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Ensure that results of machining process align with expectations.
  • Responsible for inspection of parts, SPC, TPM, teamwork, accuracy, inventory control as required, total quality, employee
  • involvement, cost reductions, and training new operators.
  • Maintain necessary records.
  • Move materials as necessary in the performance of duties.
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper
  • supervision.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and established practices and processes.
