In this role, you will operate and set up precision CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and precision measurement will ensure our products meet the strictest quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts according to technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical specifications accurately to guide machining processes. Perform machine calibration, tooling changes, and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and micrometers to verify part dimensions and adherence to specifications. Execute manual machining tasks when necessary, including grinding, drilling, or finishing operations. Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, process parameters, and inspection results for quality control purposes. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is a plus. Strong knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and general blueprint reading skills. Experience with CAM programming for efficient toolpath generation. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex or hard materials. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Skilled in the use of machining tools, hand tools, grinders, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measurement instruments. Ability to perform machine setup independently while adhering to safety standards. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances in manufacturing processes. Knowledge of tooling selection and maintenance for CNC milling machines and lathes. Understanding of quality inspection procedures related to CNC machining and metal fabrication processes.
