Job Description

  • Job Title:
    CNC Lathe Machinist
  • Pay:
  • $25-$35/hour (based on experience)
  • Shift:
  • 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (overtime as needed)
  • Job Summary
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts from blueprints and work orders. This role includes tooling setup, program edits, short production runs, and in-process inspection to ensure parts meet exact specifications.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • + Read blueprints, work orders, and specs to determine machining requirements + Set up CNC lathes: tooling, offsets, and part touch-off + Run first-piece inspection, make adjustments, and proceed with production + Operate machines for short runs while monitoring quality and performance + Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges + Edit existing CNC programs as needed (Okuma experience preferred) + Maintain safe, clean workspace and follow shop safety procedures + Collaborate with team and inspection to resolve quality issues + Safely handle materials using cranes/forklifts as needed •Required Skills•+ Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes + Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings + CNC program editing experience + Strong knowledge of tooling, offsets, and setups + Proficiency with precision measuring instruments •Preferred Qualifications•+ Okuma lathe experience + Exposure to sheet metal, welding, or general fabrication + Forklift and overhead crane experience + Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability •Work Environment•Machine shop setting (not climate controlled) with CNC mills/lathes and fabrication equipment.
Moderate noise, standard industrial safety practices.

  • This is a Permanent position based out of York Haven, PA.
  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
