JOB SUMMARY

The Machine shop Technician is responsible for CNC-machined finishing components by removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections to ensure parts meet quality and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to production schedules.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect CNC-machined parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections. Perform deburring using hand tools, power tools, and/or automated equipment (e.g., grinders, sanders, tumblers). Follow work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards for each part. Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any defects or discrepancies. Ensure proper handling and protection of parts to prevent damage during finishing. Keep work area clean and organized; comply with all safety procedures. Collaborate with CNC operators and quality control to resolve issues. Employee must always work in a safe manner while running equipment and moving or cutting products. Take and follow directions from supervisor. Work with others in a team setting by sharing responsibilities, such as running multiple CNC machines and manual equipment simultaneously. Effectively communicate with supervisor and co-workers Work in a safe manner at all times while adhering to company policies and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED Ability to read, write, speaks, hear and comprehend the English language. Experience in manufacturing or machining environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Basic knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) is a plus.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Completed trade school or an apprenticeship in machining. CNC milling and CNC lathe experience Ability to repair tools.
