The CNC Barfeed Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes equipped with bar feeders to produce precision metalponents according to specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with close tolerances in a fast-paced production environment.Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC lathes with automatic bar feeders for continuous production runs. Load material bars into feeders and ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation of the machine. Interpret blues, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machining requirements. Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and bar feed equipment as needed. Monitor machine operations, inspect parts for quality and conformance using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Make program offsets and tool adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machines and bar feeders. Document production data, quality checks, and machine settings. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean,anized workspace.Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a CNC Lathe or CNC Barfeed Proficiency in reading blues and using precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with G-code, M-code, and CNC control systems preferred (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Citizen, Star). Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds for various materials. Ability to troubleshoot and correct basic machining or equipment issues. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training a plus. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a production environment.Pay Details:
