- CNC Machinist III
- The CNC Machinist III is an advanced-level role responsible for programming, setup, and production of precision components used in orthotic and prosthetic device manufacturing. This position requires strong technical expertise in CNC machining, tooling selection, and troubleshooting. The role also supports production continuity, quality standards, and team development.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Program less complex parts at the machine and support programming of advanced components + Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for complex geometries + Calculate and set machining parameters (e.
g., speed, feed, depth of cut, coolant flow) + Monitor machine operations and address malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions + Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling failures, and fitment problems + Support improvements to molds, fixtures, and tooling to enhance manufacturability and cycle time + Provide guidance and mentorship to junior machinists + Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Minimum Qualifications
- + High school diploma or equivalent required + Trade certificate or apprenticeship preferred + Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Preferred Skills and Experience
- + Proficiency in CNC setup, programming, tooling, and complex part production + Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications + Strong understanding of machining parameters and tooling selection + Experience troubleshooting machining and production issues + Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines + Experience supporting tooling and process improvements + Demonstrated ability to mentor and support team members + Commitment to maintaining safety and organization standards •
Pay Details:
