Job Description

The CNC Machinist operates and maintains CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture and repair precision mechanical components used in industrial paper production equipment. This role ensures high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Our client is base in Conroe, TX Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust CNC lathes and milling machines based on technical drawings and specifications Manufacture, modify, and repair precision components for production machinery Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure tolerances are met Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments Troubleshoot machining issues and report equipment or quality concerns to supervisors Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with safety standards Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill preferred) Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances Experience with precision measuring tools Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials Preferred Skills CNC machine setup and changeover experience Basic knowledge of G-code and program adjustments Experience working with industrial equipment or heavy machinery
