Job Description

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual engine lathes (both large and small), milling machines, grinders, and drill presses. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications. Machine parts from raw material to finished dimensions with no supervision. Confidently and effectively cut outside diameter (O.D.) and inside diameter (I.D.) threads by single point. Cut and finish ring grooves, including BX, R, and Face grooves. Experience repairing damaged parts, including chasing threads to restore specification. Inspect and verify finished parts using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, performing routine machine maintenance and minor adjustments as needed. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to troubleshoot machining challenges and deliver quality results. Required Qualifications Minimum of 10 years' experience running large and small engine lathes. Oilfield machining experience highly desired. Proven ability to machine complex parts independently, from raw stock to final dimensions. Strong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, materials, and shop math. Skilled in repairing and reworking damaged components to meet exact specifications. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training is preferred. Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug test. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day. Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
