We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a well-established industrial employer in Irving, TX. This opportunity is available as temp-to-hire or direct hire, depending on experience and fit. This is not a repetitive production role; you will work on large, custom components, repair projects, and one-off machining jobs in a dynamic, heavy industrial environment. Schedule & Pay Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm Potential overtime based on production needs $26-$30/hr based on experience Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment safely and efficiently Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Machine large industrial components to specified tolerances Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding methods Make offset adjustments and minor program edits as needed Perform manual machining tasks, including repair work, fitting, and custom modifications Support repair and reverse engineering projects requiring strong problem-solving skills Maintain a clean and organized workspace Communicate effectively with supervisors, QA, and team members Work overtime to meet production schedules and deadlines Qualifications 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred Strong background in manual machining highly preferred Experience with large-part machining preferred Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges) Experience working with carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and similar materials Strong understanding of tolerances, fits, and machining practices Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred Experience in heavy industrial or repair environments is a plus 1.
