Job Description

Hiring Traditional Mill and Lathe Machinist (Non CNC) We are a Custom Sheet Metal Shop specializing in Custom Conveyor and Food Processing Equipment Fabrication. Experience in this field would be a plus but not required! An established and growing company with a climate controlled shop located in Irving. Salary is based on experience, plus we offer a very competitive benefits package including health, dental and 401K benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
Proficiently sets up, operates, and adjusts various types of conventional machines including lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other precision equipment (Non CNC) . Interprets written instructions, specifications and operation sequence or selects those prescribed in drawings, blueprints, or layouts. Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, etc... Inspect, operate, and modify tooling. Able to use measuring tools (rulers, micrometers, calipers, coordinate measuring equipment, etc.) and hand or power tools (hand/air impact wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) Works safely in manufacturing setting.
Job Qualifications:
5 years of experience required with Conventional Machining CNC machining will not qualify you for this role. Extensive knowledge in mill and lathe machinist work, machine shop and tool room practices. Ability to understand machine setup instructions, operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, etc English is required
