$20•30 per hour (based on experience) Penmac Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a reputable job shop in Mesquite, TX. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong machining skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machinery to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manual and CNC machines including lathes and mills Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, and micrometers to ensure tolerances are maintained Assemble components and perform basic troubleshooting as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate with supervisor regarding part progress and any production delays Report faulty equipment or defective materials to supervisor promptly Requirements Must pass a shop exam Minimum 5 years of machining experience required Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fixtures Ability to assemble components and perform basic troubleshooting Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
