00 hr D.O.E. Summary We are looking for a skilled operator/machinist who can operate our various machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurement tools.. Knowledge of basic mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions.
Your Afternoon Activities will include:
Review samples, drawings and instructions to understand specifications of output Understand basic shop math and take measurements to ensure compliance to the customer print. Monitor machine while working to identify issues. Check output to ensure consistency within specifications and detect defects Perform routine machine maintenance and report minor damage Ability to use precision tools (e.g. micrometers) to take accurate measurements Proven understanding to setup and operate machines in the departments Familiarity with ISO Quality System particularly in medical device manufacturing. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to process information in both English and Metric measurement systems; ability to convert between the two. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
