Role:
The Machinist Trainee will learn to set up and operate Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mills and other essential machine shop tools and precision measuring equipment to produce high-quality metal components. You will also learn to inspect and verify components to ensure they meet drawing specifications. Key Responsibilities:
Participate in machinist training program to learn: Setup and operation of CNC machining centers and manual machines Use of setup books and work instructions for proper machine/tooling setups Clean machines and shop area regularly Work safely and use PPE as required Mount, align, and secure workpieces on machines Monitor machine operations (coolant flow, tool wear, etc.) Change cutting tools and adjust offsets under supervision Measure parts for blueprint conformance using precision instruments Handle and store machined parts carefully Accurately record labor hours and follow production schedules Maintain great attitude, attendance, and teamwork
Qualifications:
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours Ability to lift and maneuver up to 60 lbs Basic math skills (including trigonometry) Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn Ability to accept feedback and work effectively under pressure Apply with RPM Staffing at 2505 S.
