Loading raw materials, monitor machine performance, performing routine quality checks, and learn foundational machining skills like blueprint reading and G-code basics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Load & unload raw materials and finished parts into CNC lathes,mills, or grinders. Quality Inspect using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers & micrometers) to ensure parts meet exact specifications. Assist experienced machinist in setting up tooling & fixtures for specific production runs. Keep area clean and organized & help perform routine, basic maintenance on the machines. Learn to interpret technical drawings & follow work orders to understand part requirements. Perform additional duties and responsibilities based upon individual branch requirements.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Warehouse experience a plus Basic understanding of hand tools & manufacturing machinery a plus High attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Make average to complicated mathematical calculations and resolve elementary technical problems. Good verbal, written, problem solving and organization skills required. Capable of handling multiple priorities. Ability to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Essential to the

Position :

Strong knowledge of basic mathematics and computer skills. Strong aptitude, attention to detail & solid shop math skills. Able to operate precision measuring tools Computer literate to navigate Windows-based interfaces Learn basic G-code or CAD/CAM principles.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk & stand for long periods of time Must be able to stoop, bend, reach. Specific vision abilities of the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust and focus. Able to follow precise directions, procedures, adjust to environment and focus Possess good housekeeping skills Able to lift up to 50lbs Finger & manual dexterity to manipulate, load, & handle small objects, parts, & tooling accurately.

Additional:

Shop hours are Mon-Fri 7 am-3:30 pm. (occasional over-time required.) Pre-employment drug screening and background checks are required (no felonies.) Pay:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
