Job Description

Description Rockland Manufacturing is a family-owned company with facilities in Bedford, PA and Seguin, TX. For over seven decades, we have designed, engineered, and manufactured premium construction attachments for heavy equipment, producing more than 200 custom products made entirely in the USA. Position This is a first-shift position, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime required on Fridays. The Machine Shop Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machining equipment to produce parts that meet exacting specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual machine tools, including lathes, mills, drills, and presses Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers (Haas VF3 or VF6 experience strongly preferred) Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications to determine setup requirements Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories with precision Monitor feed rates, speeds, and tooling performance throughout the machining process to ensure consistent quality Machine parts to specification, verifying dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to maintain machine performance and minimize downtime Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company safety standards
Qualifications:
Prior experience operating manual machine tools (lathes, mills, drills, presses) in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with CNC vertical machining centers required; direct experience with Haas VF3 or VF6 models is highly desirable Ability to read blueprints, use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), and interpret G-code as applicable Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, specification-compliant parts Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and equipment care Reliable attendance and ability to work required overtime, including Fridays Compensation and Benefits Starting wage: $18.50-$25.50 per hour, based on experience, with scheduled wage reviews every six months until reaching top-performer pay — available to every Rocklander regardless of role.
