Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Burner Helper to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of burners used in metal fabrication processes. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure smooth production workflows, high-quality outputs, and a safe working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical skills in machining, metal fabrication, and safety standards while contributing to the creation of precision-engineered products. Duties Assist with the setup and operation of burners for cutting, welding, and forming metal components using various tools and machinery. Support the safe handling and movement of sheet metal and fabricated parts using cranes, forklifts, and hand tools. Help monitor machine operations, ensuring proper functioning of plasma cutters, CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes, CNC milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses. Perform basic measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards. Follow safety protocols rigorously during all phases of machine operation and material handling to maintain a safe work environment. Assist with interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for accurate fabrication and assembly. Support quality inspections by measuring finished parts for precision and adherence to specifications. Qualifications Prior experience or training in machine operation such as CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes or press brakes is preferred. Familiarity with safety standards in manufacturing environments including proper use of measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal fabrication, welding, forming machines, and tooling setup. Ability to interpret technical drawings (blueprints) accurately for fabrication tasks. Experience operating forklifts or cranes is a plus; certification is advantageous but not mandatory. Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurement calculations and quality control tasks. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence during all manufacturing processes.
