Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Machinist, where you will play a vital role in producing high-precision components using advanced CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and passion for manufacturing to create quality parts efficiently and accurately. As a key contributor, you will setup, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment, ensuring that production standards are consistently met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Your skills in blueprint reading, CNC programming, and precision measurement will drive our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Setup CNC lathes such as Fanuc-controlled equipment to produce complex parts with tight tolerances. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and engineering documents to ensure accurate part fabrication. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to verify dimensions and quality standards throughout production. Set up tooling, fixtures, and machining parameters efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles. Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, inspection reports, and machine logs for quality assurance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems. VMC experience is a plus. Knowledge of CNC programming languages and CAM software for editing programs as necessary. Excellent blueprint reading skills combined with a solid understanding of GD&T principles to ensure precise part manufacturing. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, and precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances in machining processes. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues quickly. Pay:
$31.00 - $35.00 per hour
