Job Description
Responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machines and programs to make specified high quality manufactured parts according to customer specifications.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or
GED EXPERIENCE
3+ years in a machine shop with 2+ Years programming tool paths. Advanced proficiency in G and M code. Advanced proficiency with inspection tools. Previous experience working with large Okuma and Megabore machines. Ability to work in Vernal, UT on a daily basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Program tool paths using CAD/CAM software. Operate CNC Machines as directed. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required. Inspect, measure, and gauge completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Debur and clean finished product/tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Programming experience, any language. Fixture design. Advanced proficiency with computers. Highly organized. Very detail oriented. Self-motivated, responsible, and disciplined. Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
