Manual Machinist (Lathe/Mill) (Entry to Journeyman Level) CVM Machine

Schedule Pay:

$24.00

• $45.00 per hour (DOE) + overtime + benefits $24
• 28: Early-career (prior shop or trade school experience) to intermediate $28
• 35: Experienced machinist $35
• 45: Highly experienced / journeyman

We operate a true job shop environment with a wide variety of one-offs and repair work—ideal for machinists who enjoy problem-solving and diverse projects. What You'll Do Set up and operate manual machining equipment (engine lathes, mills, etc.) Interpret blueprints and machine parts to specified tolerances Perform shop math and basic trigonometry for layouts and machining calculations Select speeds, feeds, and depths of cut based on material and setup Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools Collaborate with team members to solve design or machining challenges

Equipment Experience Required:

Experience operating manual machines (lathe, mill, saw, etc.) Preferred (not required): Vertical lathes or horizontal boring mills CNC operation or programming Welding or fabrication experience Overhead crane operation and rigging Training can be provided on specific equipment (such as vertical lathes or boring mills) for candidates with strong foundational machining skills. What We're Looking For Solid understanding of machining fundamentals Ability to read prints and work with standard tolerances Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn and adapt in a job shop environment Good communication and teamwork Candidates who take pride in their work and enjoy variety Work Schedule 4-day workweek (Mon-Thurs OR Tuesday-Friday)

6:30 AM
