This role is responsible for operating machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, water jet and grinders to create valve parts, ensuring the efficient processing of products according to established procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine setup, precision measurement, and reading job packs and part drawings within an industrial or manufacturing setting. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in production quality and efficiency while working closely with supervisors and fellow machinists in a safe, team-oriented workplace.

Paid Weekly, Direct Deposit, Affordable Health Care, Full-Time, Career Advancement Opportunities Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, water jet and grinders Set up machine by using proper tools and use most efficient techniques Ensure work area is kept clean and safe of hazards Review job pack and part drawings for specifications for the job Check accuracy of work against job pack and part drawings for specifications Maximize efficiencies of production Utilize overhead and manual cranes, as required and complete daily inspection report Clean and maintain equipment and tools Provide minor repairs to machines Track consumables preventative and reactive maintenance. Contact machine manufacturer/service supplier to assess and troubleshoot machine issues Report any hazards, near-misses or incidents that you notice or are involved in Determine and discuss with supervisor any potential process improvements Shared responsibility for demonstrating professionalism and respect for all employees of DeZURIK Participate in and provide assistance with the annual physical inventory count Other duties as assigned Education and Experience High school diploma, GED or equivalent Machinist certification or equivalent experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner Critical eye for identifying defects Commitment to quality and safety Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills and time management Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work in and contribute to a team building environment with a positive "let's do it" attitude Physical Demands Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labour Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry parts as required Work regularly in conditions that include noise, heat, humidity and exposure to dust Ability to fulfill the physical requirements per the physical demands analysis, attached Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds independently Working Conditions Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron, and boots).
