Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fitting skills to create high-quality construction equipment. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal structures and components. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), and welding techniques to join various metals with precision and adherence. Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, and plasma cutters to shape sheet metal, ductwork, and other materials. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics to measure, cut, fit, and assemble parts efficiently. Conduct rigging and crane operations safely during the lifting and positioning of heavy components on construction sites or manufacturing floors. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials, inspecting completed work for quality assurance, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks involving mechanical knowledge. Requirements Proven construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs. Must be able to work in the field/travel from time-to-time. Proficiency in MIG welding. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for precise measurements. Experience operating fabrication machinery such as press brake machines, Clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to wielding. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging practices, and safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments. Mechanical knowledge including assembly techniques, machining processes, soldering methods, and ductwork installation. Ability to work effectively in the field. Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Pay:
$26.75 - $32.21 per hour
