CNC Machinist About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-precision components. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and modifying CNC and manual machining equipment to deliver parts that meet exact customer and engineering specifications.   • 4• and 5-axis vertical and horizontal mills Prepare machines for production by installing and aligning tools, fixtures, and raw materials Independently locate, select, and load CNC programs from a networked system Review, interpret, and edit G-code and M-code to improve cycle efficiency, correct issues, or accommodate part variations Perform precision machining operations in accordance with work orders, blueprints, and customer requirements Inspect parts throughout the machining process and upon completion to verify dimensional accuracy and quality standards Make real-time adjustments to tooling, offsets, or machine parameters to maintain tight tolerances Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges Diagnose and resolve machining or equipment issues to reduce downtime and ensure consistent output Operate additional shop equipment—including manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and shears —as needed Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workstation Required Skills & Experience Proven experience running CNC milling machines , including multi-axis equipment Strong background with manual machining tools and traditional shop equipment Ability to work from programs and prints with minimal supervision Working knowledge of G-code and M-code , with confidence making program edits Solid understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation Proficiency with precision inspection tools and measuring instruments Demonstrated success holding tight tolerances in a production or job-shop setting Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills related to machining processes Commitment to safe machine operation and quality-driven work Preferred Qualifications Experience in production or job-shop manufacturing environments Familiarity with a wide variety of materials, tools, and fixturing methods Ability to manage multiple setups or jobs while maintaining accuracy Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistently high-quality parts Comfortable working independently and prioritizing daily tasks Why Join Our Team?

Safety is a top priority, and appropriate shop attire and protective equipment are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00
