Who We Are:
Our Client is seeking a skilled Gun Drill Operator to join a precision manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts and working safely in a deadline-driven setting.
What You'll Do:
Set up and operate gun drilling machines to produce precise, deep holes in metal parts. Configure work-holding fixtures for production runs. Perform precision drilling while maintaining required roundness, straightness, size, finish, and concentricity . Use measuring tools to inspect parts and verify dimensions meet design specifications. Maintain and sharpen drill heads as needed. Follow coolant system procedures to maximize tool life and machining performance. Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. What's In It for

Have:
2+ years of machining or related manufacturing experience preferred. Experience using measuring tools and precision machining equipment. Ability to read and follow technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to wear required PPE, including steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses .

Preferred:
Gun drilling experience Experience with drill heads, tooling maintenance, and coolant systems Background as a Lathe Operator, Manual Machinist, or similar precision machining role Experience working with tight machining tolerances
